Repairs and Services

Today, most industries rely on equipment, machinery, or technologies that represent their core capital assets. To preserve these valuable assets, regular inspections and maintenance are essential to ensure optimal performance and long-term efficiency. In fact, industrial maintenance processes and preventive maintenance programs are the foundation of productivity and reliability in any business.

In the polymer recycling industry, machine maintenance holds even greater importance due to the high cost and wear rate of the equipment. As such, regular servicing and preventive maintenance are critical to ensuring consistent quality and minimizing downtime.

Matin Machinery ensures long-lasting machine performance by utilizing the highest quality materials in its manufacturing process. During installation and commissioning at the buyer’s factory, our team provides essential training on optimal machine operation as well as comprehensive guidance on maintenance procedures and periodic servicing.

Below is a summary table of the training program and scheduled maintenance guide:

Guide to Post-Installation Monitoring, Maintenance, and Scheduled Servicing

Machine and Parts

Required Actions

Main Electric Motor

  • Grease the front and rear motor bearings on a monthly basis.

  • Regularly check the main motor mounting bolts to ensure they are properly tightened.

  • Inspect the main couplings, including the bolts securing the polyamide pins, and verify coupling alignment according to the startup training.

  • Install additional cooling (if necessary, based on environmental conditions).

  • Install the grounding wire (earth connection).

Main Gearbox

  • Check the gearbox oil level using the installed oil gauge.

  • Inspect the gearbox mounting bolts regularly to ensure proper tightness.

  • Replace the gearbox oil (high-quality SAE 140 gear oil) every 20,000 operating hours.

  • Check for oil leakage at the flange between the cylinder and gearbox (monitor oil seals carefully).

  • Regularly inspect the bolts securing the flange between the cylinder and gearbox.

Feeder , Force Feeder

  • Periodically check the alignment of the force feeder or feeder unit.

  • Inspect gearbox oil levels and replace the oil every 20,000 operating hours.

  • Regularly inspect the screw (mardon) of the force feeder or feeder to ensure the end screw bolt is properly tightened.

Main Cylinder

  • Check the condition of the thermocouples installed on the barrel.

  • Inspect the heating elements for proper operation.

  • Ensure the cooling fans for the heaters are functioning correctly.

  • Check the tightness of the bolts securing the main barrel flanges and the flange between the barrel and the screen changer (die head).

Screen Changer

  • Check the condition of the thermocouples installed on the screen changer.

  • Inspect the heating elements for proper functionality.

  • Ensure the protective mesh installed over the filter is intact.

  • Check for any surface damage on the filter (such as deep scratches or irregular marks).

  • Verify the proper alignment of the filter.

  • Inspect the 45° bolts securing the screen changer blocks for proper tightness.

  • Check the material outlet section on the screen changer for: bolt tightness, absence of material leakage, proper functioning of heating elements and thermocouples, and clear (unblocked) outlet holes.

Hydraulic System and Jack

  • Replace the hydraulic oil every 20,000 operating hours (use high-quality hydraulic oil, Pars Babak 68; required quantity: 40 liters).

  • Periodically inspect the connections of hoses, solenoid valve, and the pressure relief valve of the hydraulic cylinder (jack).

Water-Ring System (for machines equipped with water-ring granulation lines), including the cutter, vibrator, water pump, and centrifuge.

🔧 Cutter Unit (Pelletizer):

  • Inspect water inlet and outlet for scaling or blockages caused by debris.

  • Check for water leakage at the sealed area of the cutter pot (O-ring seal).

  • Routinely inspect and adjust blades as instructed during machine startup training.

  • Grease the shaft housing (gland section) regularly.

  • Ensure the cutter pot is level using the adjustment bolts.

  • Daily inspection of the water outlet installed on the motor flange for any sign of scaling or debris — (critical).

🔧 Vibration Unit (Vibrating Sieve):

  • Regularly inspect vibration springs for breakage or displacement from their holders.

  • Periodically check the welds and connections of the vibrating mesh for structural integrity.

  • Maintain proper spacing between the outlet of the vibrating unit and the inlet of the centrifuge.

💧 Water Supply System:

  • Ensure the water pump is properly leveled for optimal performance.

  • Weekly inspection of hose and pipeline connections.

  • Protect the pump motor from water ingress.

  • Check for water leakage at the shaft section between the motor and the pump.
(Adjust fiber and spring bolts evenly.)

  • Grease the pump coupling regularly.

🌀 Centrifuge Unit:

  • Periodically check and maintain the level alignment of the centrifuge.

  • Weekly greasing of the bottom bearing and upper bearing.

  • Ensure the mounting bolts of the motor are securely tightened.

  • Check the alignment of couplings according to startup training instructions.

Dear Customer:
Following the above instructions will ensure the health, extended lifespan, and higher efficiency of the machine.
